For 2012, we have streamlined the registration process with thanks to RegTix.

We have also added a team category! Each team of five riders will combine their times and donuts eaten for an overall time. Lowest adjusted time wins! Based upon Feed Back from some of our teams, we are considering a Pro/Semi Pro Team Classification and a Amateur/Fun Cyclist Team Classification.

We have combined the Family and Individual Registration Categories. This will help with running reports on the back end. Up to 10 Riders can be registered through the Individual / Family Registration Link.

Interested in Registering for the Utah Tour de Donut? Here are some things you need to be aware of:

  • When you visit the Registration Page, there will be very few details – those details will be found here at http://www.utahtourdedonut.org
  • You will want to know how you want to register: Individual/Family, Team, Tandem, Youth (13 and Under), or Volunteer.
  • Individual/Family and Team Registrants will need to be prepared to declare actual age. The ages will then be sorted into Age Classifications for the competitive nature of the event. There are male and female divisions in each classification with the exception of the Youth- 13 and Younger Classification)
  • Team Registrations are limited to 5 team members. It is helpful to have your Team Name, Names of Team Members, Gender, Age, and Shirt Sizes figured out before you go to register. Team members will be eligible for individual prizes as well as team prizes.
  • Tandem Division – If you have a Tandem Bicycle and are looking for a fun ride, this is a great fit. Every year, our Tandem Riders tend to provide some sort of flair (Dressing up in Costume is Optional – but we have several who do it)
  • Youth Division – We are bringing back the Youth Division this year. Must be 13 and Younger to participate.
  • Volunteer Registration – as with any event, the Volunteers are Critical to the success of the event. In order to volunteer, you will need to be at least 10 Years of Age. We are in need of about 100 Volunteers to effectively run the event. Volunteers will receive a complimentary Utah Tour de Donut T-Shirt. We need help with the following areas: Course Marking and Course Preparation (Friday July 6th), Set up of the facilities, Check In, Late Registration, Donut Counters, Course Workers – directing riders around the course (Must be Age 16 +), Equipment failure on the course, Milk Station, Prizes, Clean Up, Photographers, and more! (All on Saturday)
  • We will also have the ability for you to purchase a 2012 Utah Tour de Donut Cycling Jersey. These can be purchased as a participant, volunteer, or non participant. The Jersey is an add on to your registration and as such will cost additional funds. We plan on having a new design each year – so, the jerseys will be printed in limited runs each year based upon the number of people who order them. In order to have your Jersey available for to be picked up at the event, we need your order no later than May 1, 2012. Any orders received after May 1, 2012 will be ordered and shipped out after the Event.  It takes approximately 8 weeks from the to fulfill the order once it is submitted. So, Jerseys will be shipped out around the end of September 2012.

All Prizes are awarded based on “Adjusted Times”. This means that If you just ride the course and are the first to cross the finish line, but you don’t eat any donuts, there is a good chance that you will not be the overall winner of the race. Donut Eating is a critical part of the overall chance to win prizes. With adjusted times being negative for the overall winner in years past, it is something that you need to consider if you are serious about a Podium Finish!
